Bio-
From a small attic near Knoxville, Tennessee, Tristan Swank has been writing in a way that's described as "hauntingly personal and relatable," with a passion and energy that's almost impossible to ignore.
He started releasing music under the name Brookwood at 17, a personal moniker he made after the street he grew up on, Brookwood Lane. Being raised in a place as diverse as Knoxville, he uses the sounds and influences he grew up around to make something that's as familiar and personal to the listener as it is to him.

Live presence-
Brookwood's stage presence has been described as "passionate, raw, and energetic". Whether it's with a full, 5-piece band that brings his discography to life, or intimate acoustic shows, he's as comfortable playing sold out bars as he is frat formals, open mic dives, and outdoor festivals.
Sharing the stage with the likes of Elias Hix, Lucille Klement, The Kindest People, Ian Macginnes, and many other indie and folk bands in the east Tennessee scene, he's no stranger to playing for large crowds or soft groups.
His connection with the audience, making them feel seen and heard, is the highlight of his performance. He has a young, bright, playful, and relatable personality that engages all backgrounds and ages. He wants the crowd to feel what he feels singing and playing, and isn't afraid to interact and involve them in the performance.
Tristan's playing style is also just as diverse as his catalog. From being compared to popular indie-rock bands like Royel Otis, The Backseat Lovers, and Colony House, he also draws intimate influences from Noah Kahan and Tyler Childers. He's just as comfortable serenading the people on the front row as he is ramping up the entire room to the beat drop.
